That's what I want.
$hit, I'd spend ALL our picks on o-line if it meant that we'd FINALLY be set on the o-line for the next 10 years. haha

Would be a nice feeling for Alex or whoever the QB is that he might have more than 0.001 seconds before he's got defenders in his face

How likely is it that Trent Williams is still gonna be there at #13?
Are you sure Iupati is good value at #17, when it seems pretty obvious that he's one of several interior linemen who will be available, and several of them will be there in the Second Round. So why pass on some more elite guy at #17 to take Iupati?
The Senior Bowl showed that Iupati is a Guard, not a tackle. The Combine showed that he's big, but he's not especially fast, or quick, or strong. So why take him at #17 when we could get Pouncey or Asamoah at #49, or after, and use #17 for, oh, I don't know, even a guy like SPILLER might be more bang for the buck.
Just askin.
We'd be using him at Guard. new line if this draft went down
Staley...Iupati...Heitmann...Rachal...Williams
Very young but Solari has been known to get rookies on the field and play well
We shouldn't overlook Ray Brown either. He did spend 20 years in the NFL.

1) Guards arent supposed to be fast.
2) Iupati would contribute more than Spiller would. Spiller would almost be a waste of a pick. Why not get a returner in the 3rd round instead of wasting it on a 1st round when we can get someone at a position we need?

True, but Solari has the track record of doing so. I'm sure Ray would be awesome, especially with the interior guys.

We be pretty set on the oline for years to come if that was to happen. We can go with "sexy picks" in future drafts.

Yup. I'm just so sick of the o-line being an issue year in year out. Need a tackle.. Oh wait.. Baas has one year left.. Now we'll need a gaurd.. Now Heitman's contract is up..
Why can't we just be like the Jets- 2 1st Rnd picks in one year on the o-line. Then signed another o-line player in FA. Instantly best O-line in league. Bam. We could do that.

Because to be like the Jets we'd have to trade up to get Okung and trade down to get Pouncey, which is unlikely to happen. (And Pouncey might surprise and be gone by 20 anyway.)

I think Bulaga is more likely to be there at 13 than Williams.

I understand the need to pick two o-line guys, but it hurts thinking about what other choices might be avalible at those spots.

Iupati is faaaaaar better than anyone we could get in the 2nd to play G. He is exactly what we need at LG. As for all the Spiller talk, get over it, we arent going to draft Reggie Bush lite anymore than we were gonna draft Reggie....

I liked the segment. I agree & hope we address the o-line.
