Willis called David Carr after he became a Niner.

I was listening to KNBR 680 this morning on my way to work. One of the guys on there said he tweeted David Carr and asked him his feelings on what Willis said. Carr responded to him and said Willis was the first one to call him after it was announced that Carr was a Niner. He said they had a good talk and everything is all good. He also said things that make me believe that the #1 QB spot isn't set in stone for Alex Smith. He said the reason he left NY is because he feels ready now and wants to show people that he can play. Also said his #1 goal along with Willis is to bring SB back to the Niners. I’m not good with twitter, but can someone find his account or the KNBR guys account and post what Carr said. Thank you.

Can't get mad about that kind of loyalty to team mates. That is one reason why Willis is a true leader, other than he breaks oppponents down on the field.
