Why doesn't Bubba Paris get the same kind of heat Craig gets

Just to refresh your memory though... Montana had plenty of time on that play to get rid of the ball and not take a huge hit. The coverage was great and he held the ball way too long. Paris wasnt great on the play but that didnt cost the Niners the game. They didnt even lose the ball as they recovered the ball. Now, Craig is a different story but time to let that go too.

I was going to post when everyone said they still blamed craig when he was up for the hall of fame. Its the offseason. Other than speculating what else is there to do.

I felt Bubba was one of the biggest reasons for that loss too. Joe had Jerry wide open and was getting ready to throw a potential TD pass to Jerry but Marshall got there. If Bubba wasn't so damn slow and fat, Joe would have had enough time to make the throw; thus, win the game for a chance at the threepeat!

That simply was not the case. I was sitting on the 50 yard line for that game and remember it well. Montana actually had time initially but the coverage was excellent. Jerry Rice was NOT wide open on the play. He had broken off his route and was going deep but had maybe a step if anything.
