Smith Haters?

Now, this is the story all about how
My life got flipped-turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute
Just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel Air

In west Philadelphia born and raised
On the playground was where I spent most of my days
Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool
And all shootin some b-ball outside of school
When a couple of guys
Who were up to no good
Startin making trouble in my neighborhood
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
She said 'You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air'

I begged and pleaded with her day after day
But she packed my suite case and sent me on my way
She gave me a kiss and then she gave me my ticket.
I put my walkman on and said, 'I might as well kick it'.

First class, yo this is bad
Drinking orange juice out of a champagne glass.
Is this what the people of Bel-Air living like?
Hmmmmm this might be alright.

But wait, I hear the prissy, booze, whine, all that
Is this the type of place that they should send this cool cat?
I don't think so
I'll see when I get there
I hope they're prepared for the prince of Bel-Air

Well uh, the plane landed and when I came out
There was a dude who looked like a cop standing there with my name out
I ain't trying to get arrested yet.
I just got here!
I sprang with the quickness, like lightening disappeared

I whistled for a cab and when it came near
The license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror
If anything I can say is that this cab was rare
But I thought 'Man forget it' - 'Yo home to Bel Air'

I pulled up to the house about seven or eight
And I yelled to the cabbie 'Yo homes smell ya later'
I looked to my kingdom
I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air

Smith Hater is someone who is not as satisfied with his play compared to others who think he's playing well considering the path he has taken to this point.

Smith Haters don't believe he has the tools to help this team win in critical situations.

I like it when someone uses this right after telling a story about viewing someone getting shot and then comes into it.....

I'm beginning to see a parallel to Alex Smith and his threads: they all seem to have a minimal chance of succeeding.

I for one, do not "HATE" Alex Smith, in my book he is a human being trying to be successful just like the rest of us. If Smith comes out next season and shows that he is a Pro Bowl caliber QB then all the speculation will be put to rest. On the other side of the coin, what if he does the same thing he has done since he became a pro? Show just enough promise to hang on for another season.
I think it is fitting that we are in the final season of Smith's contract. He has been given more than enough time to develop as a pro. Many will argue that Smith has not been groomed in the most optimal of situations, but in reality, who really ever does? Now Smith has one season to put it all together. Deep down I am pulling for the guy, but so far I haven't seen a reason to keep him aboard. Now go ahead and say it.

it is kind of like pornography my friend...I cant define a "Smith hater", but i know one when i see one....

they have certain traits...For example, like saying Smith has had more than enough time to develop as a pro, citing that this is his 5th year in the league, when in actuality 2 of those years were cut short by injury, and the first year was played with the least talented team in the nfl

they often try to mask their true feelings with comments like "I for one do not hate ALex Smith"

also they like to ignore the development the young man has had...see better #s from 2005 to 2006 to 2009, the years that he actually played

they often times say I am rooting for the guy, when everything else they say and do shows the opposite

they would crown Nate Davis a star in the making for his performance in some practice games, ignoring Smith's production in real games

they actually get happy when Smith struggles, even if that means the Niners are losing

they tend to discount every success Smith has, while harping on every unsuccesful thing he does....they often throw immature names like Alex Leaf out there

I could go on, but I think this covers it pretty well

Smith Haters cry and hate because Alex Smith is smarter than Steve Young even when provided evidence to back this claim up.
