The Yorks totally fear "outsiders" who come with power and independence. This is very threatening to them.
It is very tempting for them to promote in-house, to make sure there are loyal people at every position. The problem is that they may be promoted to positions they are not qualified for.
Paraag is evidently extremely talented at what he does and it would seem to be a bad move for the Yorks to promote him to an unfamiliar position where he would likely fail and his talents would be lost.
It will be very, very interesting to see if the Yorks will bring in a strong, independent and powerful coach who might clash with the York Way and, most disturbing, be given credit for any success.
Unh…i think we already have a very independent HC AND GM, but Jed has become a good owner and is letting his hand picked guys do their jobs. Last yr was a throw away yr with covid plus we had over 32 guys on IR at one time or another. (Rules change for covid). In 2019 we were right there, and this yr, it looks like where we left off in 2019…altho even better. So as for a very strong and independent HC…we already got one plus our GM, both Jed hires.

This guy's the reason we constantly sign value picks and injured players. His "wizardry" is to sign a bunch of "value" question marks and not pay known commodities.
He also had his hand in the draft at offering advice on the the early round "value"
He's buddy buddy with the York's and will never get fired because he saves them money but he's a huge reason why we are the worst injured team and constantly signing and drafting question marks. More power than the gm.
He should get burned with the next changing of the guard but it won't happen.
People need to see his ascension is linked with the injury uptick in players.

He's made enough money personally by saving money (injury scheme) for Jed and the Yorks. He needs to go back to wherever the eff he's from

Owners don't save money through FA. The cap is the players revenue, that's their money. Owners have to spend it (89% rule and I believe SF always goes past that threshold) if they don't get to that 89% (must spend 89% of total cap that's built up through 4 yrs), the left over cash is given to the NFLPA and split up between the players.

Eventually Paraag will publish a book about salary cap manipulation. Then rake in the royalty income.

Yeah that's not how the salary cap works…people still pushing that narrative clearly don't understand what the cap is

Happens anytime we unexpectedly suck. Somehow it all comes back to the cap guy 🤣
