You have to crawl before you can walk. Not being a losing team is an important step towards being a playoff team. Sure, some teams bounce from losing right into the playoffs. But usually those teams bounce right back down a year or two later. We just need to keep moving forward.

Today, at this moment, I AM EXTREMELY HAPPY that we are going into the offseason with the FIRST non-losing overall record in so long!

It's been a hugely up and down season, but as always it was enjoyable. This was my first full season on the board and I have to say it was very enjoyable! Thank you 49ers and thank you all as fans. Sad the year's over, but there is promise going into 2010! GO 49ers!

While not the result that I had hoped for, it is better than a losing record.

Next year, we go 11-5 and win a playoff game.

At least we're not the rams. That team is terrible. They remind me of the 05 Niners. Justin Smith had his way with their terrible oline. After watching their QB play, Suh is not a lock to go there as they have much bigger holes.

I think we can safely say that we're no longer one of the 5 worst teams in the NFL. While that may not sound like a lot to boast about, considering the path that we took to get here, it's a reminder of our recent history.

We are what we are and that's a middle of the pack team.

we havent been a bottom 5 team in a few years. not since 2005. 06, 07, 08 we were just in the 20-25 range.

If you look at the standing then yes, you're right. But I always thought that arguments could be made either way - look at the PYWYMI thread..
