Sudden change in team needs

Now Goldie looks like a very good safety forcing fumbles, hitting hard as hell, and int's.

Now Brooks looks like a beast in pass rushing (already 4th in the nfl forcing fumbles.....imagine if he played the whole year) He reminds me on Harrison on the Steelers and may of had close to his numbers this year or better if we played him more.

So it looks like we may be set at FS and OLB rush. There is always room for improvement but now it looks like the main flaw with this team is OL. I know we can't draft 2 OL in the 1st round, but who knows?

People have pointed to secondary speed lacking....the last time i checked Brown and Spencer are pretty fast and so is Goldie. We may need an upgrade at SS but SS are uusally slower and Lewis and even Clements are so valuable in the running game as well. Clements shuts down almost any wr in the league so when he returns, i think we will be more than fine in our secondary with crazy depth. (sencer, clements, bly, brown, goldie, lewis sick!!!!)

I think our main team need Now is OL and KR/PR. What do you think? Also, do you think we may reach for an OL because usually the best OT's are gone before we will pick (anywhere from 12-20 for both CAR and SF picks)

I think OTs will go quick this year, and we may be stuck reaching. That's why we need to make a strong effort to sign a RT in free agency.

I agree that the secondary was decimated by injuries this year, but I don't know if Clements can cover "elite speed" WRs. Maybe he should play safety and we bring in a burner like Joe Haden with our #1 pick.
Offensive Line

I would draft an OL and try to acquire another one in FA. We just don't have the time to keep waiting until OL develop.

you might want to read my post stating clements shuts down "ALMOST any" wr not any wr. The proof is against Fitz, steve smith ocho and the many others he has shut down. The only wr's that have given him trouble over the past few years are Owens and Roddy white. Then again i remember owens tourching Champ Bailey.

I didn't know i wasn't supposed to have my nickname for a player.....wow. What a joke. Are you the captain of the nickname police? If so, please don't give me a ticket for it.
how is qb not a need??? come on...
Goldie will play better as a SS. He's not a ball hawk, but a damn good tackler

Nope. IMO not this year. I am confident Smith will preform with a good Oline. And if not, we still have a young QB to try out in Davis. We need OL, OL, OL and sprinkle in there a KR/PR, DB/FS, DE/OLB.

Unless hadyen is Gone... We should go oline, Passrusher Dl tweener's. Also Speed and such we missed out on jackson. I'll throw this out there, if dez bryant is on the board do you take him!?

I would like to make a splash in free agency, probably won't happen but imagine if we were able to pry Josh Cribbs from the Browns and were able to pick up UFAs like Mangold or Marcus McNeil, that would help out with KR and OL, now we have freedom to pick up Haden, OT, Spiller or other weapons with our first rounders...now that would be an offseason!
It'd be smart to take the best OT and OG on the board in the 1st round...we could get two blue-chippers which would be a huge step toward fixing what's been problematic for too long. We can still get one of the top pass rushers in the 2nd rd. Brooks' development is definitely encouraging...I don't compare him to Haralson, because they're two different players. Singletary's bringing Ahmad along slowly, which I think is the right way.
I totally agree with RT and KR/PR as biggest needs. We take best RT available with our first pick in draft EVEN if its a bit of a reach. If CJ isn't available with our second then I say we stick with Morgan (I don't know why he's not returning punts already? somebody fill me in?) as our returner and take BPA the rest of the way down. I don't trust FA to fill the RT need lets get some new blood.
Our needs have not changed at all. We still need DB speed and a safety and I still think Goldson is better suited for SS. We need an OLB but we can pick that up in the 3rd. OLine is a major problem. A returns specialist is a MAJOR problem. Our needs have not changed at all.

Brooks looks good in obvious passing downs, but we need a DE that can pass rush too to put them in a hole on 1st & 2nd down. OL & another D-lineman that can pass rush and bench Alex and we're good to go.

I don't think we need DB at all...We have fast corners in Spencer and Brown. We need OL and more DL...We just had a ton of turnovers in the past weeks so that must say something. We need to control the ball on offense and get points!
