The second I start to see threads like this is when I know it is time to panic.

we should have panicked when A center don't want to sign with his team that is offering him same money as the other team , an re signing the same s**tty qb from 6 years !

When did we offer Baas the same amount as the Giants? He got paid top 3 center money...I highly doubt we offered him the same.

Alex will be our rock, he will take the wheel, and lead us to the promised land.

It just seems like every off season we're so unprepared

As I said two days ago, what were these guys doing for four months???

The FA still has to WANT to play for us. Notice where these FAs are signing. To what degree the FO is unprepared, you, me or any one here has any REAL idea. WE all just associate not getting the players we want or feel we need with incompetence. Nnamdi was in a fail system for 8 years so why would he come to a team that's been failing for the last 10 yrs; think about it.

We are too far remove from our legacy to attract top FAs. it's all about what have the Niners done lately for a top FA to want to come here.

We also don't know if Harbaugh's staff evaluated all of these guys on film and decided which players are expendable/desirable.

I don't think any 1st year HC wants major acquisitions in terms of star power because then the bar is set extremely high while that coach is trying to install the basics of his system. It would be a waste of talent and money, especially with a huge questionmark at QB.

The time we went after big names was after a very solid season when we were expecting to make a good run at the playoffs the following year. I have feeling this season is going to be a "feel it out" type of year to see how strong of a push we can make in terms of record.

Agreed.

Oh...well we have no center, no RB, no #1 WR, no S, and no CB...even bringing in lesser known guys would help rather than jerking off to the NA sweepstakes...

I hope you're right, but the way it looks right now with the team alone, it looks scary

Yeah, the time to panic was in 2000 when Eddie D lost control of the team. It's far too late for panic now.
With all this talk everyone's spitt'en out, you'd think we'll be in position to get Luck next year. I prefer the wait and see approach. It make the season more exciting.
Panic isn't the word. More like disgusted with how things have started off. It looks like any hope this team has to be average this season will depend on nailing it in free agency and the draft. I guess we'll see what Baalke's got.

Just be patient. Just like earlier this off-season. All the panic will quiet down when we approach game-time.

People are panicking because THEY don't know the options, plans, coaches opinions about players, what agents are really asking for (in terms of deals) and how that would affect everyone on the team.

Just wait.

We have been waiting for 12 years...and still this team is mis-managed...
Pretty good first post, but I still think we should have the option to panic...

Agreed, right now its real scary. Cutting folks left and right, talking with all the free agents and making no type of moves. So disappointing.
Naw I don't ever panic
