Some good news....

We have two games left and have a good chance to go 8-8 (and improvement over last year). Beyond this there is two games left and then:
1) Battle finally is released from the team
2) Mark Roman is released from the team
3) Grandpa (Issac Bruce) retires (a good career no doubt)
4) Shaun Hill is released (it is time to develop Nate)

Anyone else.......

I say we tank and get a better draft pick

link?

Shaun Hill will NOT be released.

Neither will Battle BTW. He'll be an unrestricted FA, can't release someone you don't have the rights to. I'm not 100% sure he wont be back though. You have to have 5 receivers going into the season. They may give him a shot to win a job in TC. They sure as hell aren't going to make a splash in FA for a WR not will they draft one (most likely). So the 5th guy is going to be Battle, Ziegler, an undrafted rookie, or a castoff journeyman from another team. I'd say Battle has a decent shot at making the 53 man roster in that scenario.

I'm with you these two last games are worthless! Start Davis and let him get some experience please Sing!

You guys are spineless b***hes. Anyone who wants to end the season on a losing note is dumb. The fact that you still think ONE draft pick can save our team is also naive and dumb. As for starting Davis, you are really exposing your football IQ with that crap.

Did you even watch the game today?? Talk about football IQ--you flat out don't have any. The good news from today's game is that ALEX SMITH IS NOT OUR QB OF THE FUTURE!! Playoff caliber teams have QBs that that can read defenses and throw under pressure and on the run. The last two games against playoff caliber teams Smith has thrown 5 INT!! He will NEVER take us into the playoffs much less a championship. Quit blaming the O line--that is c#@p!!

It's time to see what Nate Davis can do against teams that aren't that great. It's time again for some competition at the QB spot. If you think we don't need help at the QB spot you better go back to football 101. If Davis shows up in the next couple games it means we don't have to spend a high pick on a QB and that would be a very big deal.

Moral/worthless Victories? I rather tank the season!

Eric Berry 2010!

Eric berry???? I wish but I don't think he'll still be around when we pick. But I didn't think crabtree would either. So I guess I can hope.

We need C.J. Spiller

He will help with the return game, and also be a shifty player out of the backfield on certain downs....
Nobody is going to tank anything! Not the Lions, Rams, Bears, Browns or 49er's. These last few games will dictate on EACH team who stays and who goes.

If anything those players that are questionable will be playing more aggressive to keep from getting cut, because there is no guarantee that they will be picked up by another team.

And even if you're an established FIRST stringer, there's always someone behind you that wants your job, so you really can't relax.

I'm still mad we let go of sheets....I think he could have been a return man.

Maybe Battle will sign with another team?
There is no good news in today's loss. It eliminated us from the playoffs and guaranteed another season without a winning record.

Really you think he'll work in wildcat on 4th down?

Those 4 players are the least of our worries.

If Battle goes fine, but if not he's fairly cheap and is valuable in certain situations. Roman has improved his play over last year and provides good depth. Bruce is done, so that's a moot point anyway. Hill will be on the team because he's the only real backup.

Point is the Niners aren't going to get better by getting rid of players, they need to improve the offensive line. That will make them a better team.

are you defending arnaz battle -- the worst punt returner in the league? mr. muff? mr. can't run to the ball and fair catch? mr. slow as f**k and not elusive? he definitely needs to go. and mark roman? the a*****e of our team? he is the reason we lose all of our games, no matter the actual cause. him being on the field is a cancer. he gets tripped up by a long blade of grass and possibly could be blind.

not ripping on you, but if our front organization gives these SCRUBS another chance to make the team, we truly will never realize a winning ideology. we need to cut the ties with s**t players once and for all.

Gore is only 58 yards away from another 1000 yard season.

Surely that's worth something. Right?
