currently Alex Smith and Frank Gore have the exact same number of TD's as 49ers, with 36 each. 34 passing/2 rushing for Smith, 29 rushing/7 receiving for Gore. obviously both have played their whole careers here, and 34 of Smiths are passing, so not nearly as difficult to attain. but i just thought it was interesting that had the exact same total of TDs right now. I never understood why we didnt just feed Gore near the goaline early. He's gotten a few more tries this year but he'd have had double digit touchdowns in 06 if we let him run near the goaline.
