Texas A&M's Von Miller will most likely declare (hopefully). He's the dude you want if you're in the market for a 3-4 OLB. Miller outclassed Oklahoma State's Russell Okung in the head-to-head matchup and might slip to the 2nd round. I would steer clear of any Big 12 OL this year.

Just curious because I didn't see that game. Miller had exactly 1 sack and 1 TFL in that game, so can you explain how he "outclassed" Okung? I'm not saying you're lying, I'm just saying I didn't see the game and the stats (including the fact that his team lost) don't indicate any type of domination from a statistical standpoint.

Just like most topics on here, people with negative opinions greatly exaggerate things.

This pass rush has been a nice surprise. Yes, there's no marquee pass rusher here, but a group that has been very effective as a unit.

If there's a no brainer that is available with one of our picks (a la Crabs), we take that OLB. But it's not really a need like OL is.

The Aggies ran kind of a weird defense this year that took on the look of a 3-4 at times as Miller played as a standup LB for a lot of snaps. In the OSU game, A&M DC Joe Kines played Miller on Okung for 3 plays in the entire game. I'll never know why because it's about the only 3 and out they forced all game. Those 3 plays are probably worth a couple of million dollars to Miller. I got to watch him in person against Tech against a pretty athletic OT in Marlon Winn. After seeing him live and being a former OL, the only formidable comparison I can come up with is Miller is what I imagine it's like for a 310-lb guy to block a puma. He dominated UT's Adam Ulatoski as well. Those are 3 OTs who have played well in their careers against guys playing on Sunday right now. Miller had 17 sacks on one of the least talented defenses in D-I football. He could have reached 35 if he had just one of other decent player on his DL. He's looks legit from what I know about football.

I like Miller a lot, but he seems awful lite in the shorts...if he declares, I bet he won't be any more than 230, maybe 235lbs max. Which is cool, but he would need a year or two to add some meat to his frame. Still, he's lightning quick and has a natural feel for pass rushing. I definitely wouldn't mind grooming a guy like that behind Parys, Manny and Brooks.

He is pretty light and he might not weigh out at the 240 listed right now. However, he's undeveloped in his upper body and will carry 250-255 easily without sacrificing quickness on an NFL workout regimen and roids. You can increase his bench press and weight, but you can't coach the moves that guy has.

I rather have 3-4 above average / good pass rushers, then just 1 great pass rusher. Look at SD when Merriman got hurt last year, their D was bad.

We have a handful of people that can rush the passer, all with their own unique style. Scheme > Player.

I'd rather have a great passrusher and get sacks at the end of games when we really need them. Nothing more valuable than a player that can beat his man one on one when the game is on the line. Charles Haley type> scheme
