It means you were up in the game, in control and trying to run out the clock.

Gore averaged more than Chris Johnson in the TEN game but we thought it would be cute to throw 40 times and lose again. Gore is our best player.

It's not how we lost.

1) Run a reverse on the return and give the team the ball around the 10 yard line (-7 points)

2) Go on 4th down and don't get it and not take the field goal (-3 points)

3) Multiple dropped passes in the endzone for touchdowns. Right in the receivers hands.

4) Call all timeouts in the 1st 6 minutes of the game. Including one on the first play.

That's how we lost. It wasn't because we threw the ball.
run it down there throat they can't holdup with our run game

ya

our run game has really been dominant this year
Philly is kown for constantly trying to get pressure on the QB, especially on passing downs and from the shotgun. If our interior lineman can hold thier blocks, then a delayed draw play or quick slant to Crabtree from the shotgun could net some very big plays, which could lead to Philly dialing down the pressure.

I remember that in the Seattle Game not Tennessee

Top 10 run defense.

...they also blitz 80 percent of the time, we need to exploit this, and use it against them. Rip a page from Green Bay's playbook, use some of those fast developing screens, and check downs, wear those guys out, then run Gore right at 'em.

Thats not necessarily true in this case. If this was 30 carries a game or something high like that, then maybe it'll be deceiving. But 15 carries should be expected for ANY back in any offense for any game. Its unacceptable that our Pro-Bowl Running Back isnt getting 15 touches a game, EVERY game.

The 49ers are 5-0 this season when Frank Gore gets more than 15 carries. They are 0-6 when he does not (Gore missed two additional games).

Sometimes a running back will get more carries simply because his team is winning. In this case, though, we're not talking about 20 or 25 carries. Fifteen is a relatively low figure....ESPN NFC WEST blog

When the O-line is blocking poorly, or Gore is playing poorly, or we're down by 3 TDs, you stop running the ball -- that's the reason for the statistical difference.
its funny everyone wanted to trade gore after the seattle game oh he's washed up too old, injury prone turns the ball over too much.

Now, after the AZ game, all you hear is Gore is a beast top 5 back, the tank is back, goota give him the ball.

Make up your f**ken mind, stop riding the fence either you think he is washed up or not.

For me, Gore is nowhere near washed up.
a balanced offense is most effective.

Since when does one pro bowl make you a pro bowler???

It means you were up in the game, in control and trying to run out the clock.

It also means that you were able to run SUCCESSFULLY.

If you keep going 3n'out, your running back won't get many carries, even if you give him the ball every play.

Agree with this.
Gore needs at least 20 rushes.....one of the reasons he played better on Monday night is because we were running off the tackle and not straight up the middle the whole game which we don't have the personel on the O line to justify doing so much. Gore is our key to winning.
