Indeed. Rossum was cut because he kept dropping kickoffs and punts, he was just lucky enough to do it when no one was around.

Let it go.

Rossum was never healthy. We could have not let him go and he would have just been injured.

Allen Rossum did not lose any fumbles. That is the difference between him and battle.

I can't believe people still b***hing about Allen Rossum. What exactly has he done since getting cut that makes you think he actually would have done any better than the returners we currently have?

We release him, Battle fumbles a ball against the Texans because he tries to catch it even though he cant see it because the sun is in his eyes. The Texans score a touchdown a couple plays later. Final score: 24-21. Rossum is a veteran and would have not made that mistake.

Colts game: We have our really expensive cornerback returning punts and he breaks his shoulder. He is going to miss his 6th straight game as a result.

Seahawks game: We have Arnaz Battle try and hand the ball to Brandon Jones (A guy who has no business returning punts) and they fumble. That situation would have never came up if we did not release Rossum. Seattle scores a touchdown a couple plays later. We lost 20-17.

P.S. Why the negative post? Well there wouldnt be much to talk about on this board if everything was going well with our team. And I'm frustrated that our season is going to end the same way it has for the past 2 years: Win a couple games in the beginning, have a big losing streak in the middle, and just when the playoffs are out of reach, we start winning games.

Some people do not understand logic here. EVEN if Rossum was injured and played by dropping a ball or running out of bounds.........THE POINT is he never LOST a fumble and cost this team an easy 7. Why can't people understand this? I guess it's too hard

Scot's fault for not upgrading the kr/pr spot during the last draft/FA period and even this year. Damn Scot, at least bring someone(Justin Miller) in for tryouts. I'm sure the coaches saw that Rossum was showing signs of getting injured and avoiding contact Scot should have noticed. This kind of thing is gradual if you know what to look for. Was he servicable last year? yes. Was he a young dynamic player we could count on in the future? no way. Scots biggest flaw is he isn't proactive in obvious situations like the oline, OLB, etc.

I'm not sayin that he would have been returning kicks/punts for touchdowns, but my point is that he is a veteran, and he doesnt make mistakes like fielding a punt at his own 3 yard line (jones) and tryin to catch a ball when the sun is in his eyes (Battle).

Agreed, I blame this more on Scotty than Singletary.

He's a 35 year old guy that's been injured most of the season. There's a good chance he isn't even in those games. Get over it.

And how the hell does anyone know he doesn't turn the ball over if he's playing?
