There are a lot of things to look at for this game.The 49ers got 3 Sacks and Knocked Warner down 8 times,if the 49ers have have had 11 sacks in the last two weeks. Will this continue this week?? The run did not work in week 1. Frank Gore Had 30 yds on 22 carries, The run in effective could keep there explosive offense off of the field but will the 49ers stick to last weeks game plan?? Who will replace Nate Clement when guarding Larry Fitzgerald?? Will this be the first week people say they miss him?? Larry Fitzgerald has been quiet almost every game that Nate Clement has played. Will the 49ers put Spencer on him who guarded him everyday in practice??? What will 49ers do this week to stop Hightower in the passing game?? He had over 130 yards receiving last time we played. The 49ers shut down everything deep and forced the Cards to go underneath, Do they stay with that game plan?? Will the Cardinals still key on the run because we didn't get a victory last week?? Last game when the 49ers brought the receiver in motion as they often do on the run, it looked like a key for an automatic blitz. Will the 49ers try more drawn and traps out of the gun?? I was at the Season Opener in Arizona and the 49ers right now are better at QB and WR than we were going into that game. That said we have injuries to 2 key players in Staley and Clements. Staley may be able to play and the signs look good but Clements won't. We have to contain Fitz in order to win this game. I don't believe we will shadow him with a player.If we do I think it will be Spencer because of his height and he is familiar with Larry.

I do think they wil ltry to get Gore more carries but I find it hard to think they will run him 25 times out of the gun.

I agree that we aren't better equipped to beat the Cardinals but it's not about the 49ers as much as it is about the Cardinals. The Cardinals have improved as a team overall but the 49ers have not. I hope the 49ers find a way to win though.

Totally different field and playing conditions from Game 1 in ARIZONA to Monday night at the Stick. And this factor will have more to do with the type of game on Dec 14 than any other factor.

Quagmire conditions. Soaked field. Near-freeing temperatures. Lots of mud. Slippery ball. Poor traction. The Stick is going to be more like Soldiers' Field in Chicago on a December night, than Arizona's semi-enclosed, artificial turf stadium in summer conditions.

Throwing the ball will be a liability. Shotgun snaps will be too risky in terms of ball security. I don't expect pass receivers to be much of a factor for either team in this game.

So, expect the Niners to play this game in smashmouth fashion, which they used effectively in Game 1 to beat the Cardinals. Arizona's run game is improved with Hightower and Wells, so Arizona looks to be better positioned to play such a smashmouth game than they were in September. Has the Niner smashmouth game really improved since September? You know the answer to that one.

More than ever, it will be the same old story. Whichever team can eliminate turnovers, on a night when that will be especially hard to do, will win this low-coring, ugly affair.

Frankly, the Crds are playing much better football now then in our first game. Warner is the key. If we can get to him we can win.

cards are a demoralized bunch.

Come Monday, our boys will follow Singletary into battle and show the league that under our system, even an intern head coach can lead a team to destroy the ex NFC champ.
