I just hope we have a solid off season. Fill some holes with FA and just have a good draft.

The 49ers are GREAT at winning meaningless games.
It just messes up the draft pick at this point. If there ever was a time that there is a silver lining to losing it is now. The last 4 mean nothing and it could mean a higher pick.
I think this team will find ways to lose them anyway. I won't be cheering for them to do so. They will do so on their own. Like running reverses on kicks and fumbling the ball and giving the other team the ball around the 10 yard line or so. That's just classic 49ers. I fully expect that type of thing to continue. Because it's who we really are. A stupid team that makes stupid mistakes and finds ways to lose even when they could win.

co-signed.
This team just doesn't play smart. Most of the players on this team haven't been to the playoffs, are young, or they've been here so long they don't remember what it's like to win games. Notice how much better Denver's D got, and that team in general, when they added Dawkins? Veteran leadership goes along way. But it has to be a player who plays a lot, who leads your team emotionally(gets them pumped up like Dawkins or Ray Lewis) and mentally(as far as showing young players the ropes, like I think Dawkins has the radio in Denver for their D). Other teams have leadership and we don't. Takeo has never made the playoffs as much as I like him, same with Nate Clements, Justin Smith's only made it once, and Mike Lewis made a super bowl 5 years ago but he's slow and can't cover and he's not the leader of the D. When the Ravens got Rod Woodson and put him at safety, they got more veteran leadership for a team that had great D. The Steelers have vet leadership with Roethlissberger, Ward, etc. and it helped them get to the superbowl. The Saints D got a whole lot better just by adding Darren Sharper on the cheap. The Vikings O got a whole lot better when they added Favre. Most of the guys I'm talking about are really good players, but they bring a whole other element of leadership with them where guys listen to what they have to say because they know what they're talking about and they get their teammates fired up and ready to play. We have a losing culture lately and we don't know how to fix it. We have no veteran leadership.

If you really thought we were going to the playoffs in any year pre 08, then any disappointment was on you.
09 was the year I was expecting it, this year has been a total buzz kill.. I'm going to cheer for the bengals to win it all now. (they deserve it after sucking for so long.)
