wow, can you say anything nice about Alex.
Seriosuly, anyone will have a hard time learning a new offense, no one catches on right away.
Alex Smith is a very handsome young man. Happy ?

I think we should stick with him as long as the old b*****d doesnt have a heart attack from all the anxiety of these close losses.

Keep the playbook, give playcalling duties to Mike Johnson.

Raye is looking better every game. He is creative too and shrewd. Did you guys see the double reverse? I thought I was watching Walsh for a minute.

Our OC next year is either Raye or Mike Johnson, the QB coach. I think Johnson is on the fast track and we could lose him to an OC job elsewhere.

there is a reason why he was never a headcoach candidate after all these years...Rayes is average at best comparing to other OCs.
Raye is a moron.

Worthless POS. I see why the hatred for good players like Frank Gore when they fumble. You people are clueless. The majority of you have no idea who Jimmy 'I have falied everywhere' Raye even is.

With the adaptation he has made in the last two weeks, I would be okay with retaining him. If he opens it up more, and shows more creativity, I would be okay with retaining him. I was calling for his head a few weeks ago, but he has shown he can make the necessary changes to get the ball moving...
Can someone update wikipedia?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Raye_II
He was hired by the San Francisco 49ers as the official Offensive Coordinator on January 29, 2009. He is the 49ers 7th offensive coordinator in 7 years.[1]
He is highly criticize by his one-dimension running play calling.
Apparently he can't do 2 things at one time. It's either all pass or all run.

Raye is definitely hit or miss with his calls. What was with calling the all streaks pattern on 3rd and 3 with a minute left in the game? Cost the Niners the opportunity to take the game to overtime.
