Honestly, I don't know. Hill played exceptional in a spread-type offense under Martz. He's got better leadership qualities and intangibles and has a pension for scoring that winning TD when it's needed.

Smith has a better arm and overall, is a better athlete. Alex has more weapons now with the spread, Crabtree, Vernon on fire, Walker and an o-line that seems better suited to pass protect with Alex under the shotgun, all luxuries Hill never got.

Both are great friends and great character guys.

In short, it's impossible to compare b/c of the circumstances but you can start by comparing Hill's numbers last year under Martz to Smith's numbers this year under a like-offense. I bet they end up pretty even.
