We have for the most part been pretty injury free this year. That is a direct result of our training camp and off season programs. They are in football shape and will be fine.
I think this is just another example of Sing showing that he isn't as rigid as people make him out to be. One thing is for sure, he's willing to make changes

I wouldn't say injury free. It's the fatigue factor more that was concerning.

That's exactly what I got out of it. He's still learning on the job.
All coaches experience this. no big deal at all.
IIRC, Coughlin was overworking his guys in NY for a while, then finally started to let off. That year they won the Super Bowl. Am I saying the Niners are headed to the promise land? LOL no. I'm just saying that I think it's a good thing. Especially this late into the season when fatigue may be coming into play.
