I would go more playaction.

I think I have a different understanding of conservative. To me, running the ball isn't conservative if running the ball is working. To me, conservative means being satisfied with a 3 point lead or a 0-0 score.

If we get 5 yards a carry, then run the damn ball, but don't be conservative and NOT go for the jugular. We still need to hit em with hook shots by getting big chunks from the passing game if the runnning game isn't giving us big chunks.

True it's not conservative it's just ineffective. I hope they come out and mix it up. I mean seattle does watch tape can't come out doing the same thing from last week.
not a chance. not after the way the O moved the ball last week in the gun. If we do come out conservative, I'll drive to SF to strangle both Singletary and Raye.

I'll catch a plane to cali, and drive you so that all you have to do is focus on strangling them both.

deal. I'll probably have to sneak up on Sing. Buy Raye wont be an issue.
Nah ..we better see a nasty offense that will shred the seahawks and put points on the board early, we gotta win this f**ken game, no trying to establish the run first, lets just find ways to move the ball and get points, something tells me we will be an aggressive offense on sunday
i think theyre gonna let alex air it out at the start to get him into some sort of a rhythm and then slowly let gore take over as the running lanes open up. alex will kick start this offense and gore will be the anchor down the stretch.

I can see this happenning too
Yes. An away game in a must win situation has conservative written all over it, unfortunately.

He will be sleeping.
if we come out running its because of the history between the teams. Gore has tore up the seahawks in the past and this year as well. If we do run, i do understand why.

No we won't because it was Sing's decision to spread it out NOT Raye's. It was either Lynch or Matt M. who said Sing had to convince Raye to open it up and that Raye didn't want to. He said Raye is the one who loves the run-run-run philosphy.

Like Sing had to regulate Martz to tone it down, he will regulate Raye to tone it up.

Good post! We better come out aggressive!

I bet SEA is releived that our running game isn't working and that they don't need to stack the box considering what Gore did to them last time. They don't ever want to see Gore again.
one word

Play action!
The reason for 'opening it up' last week was the fact that the Jags have a bad passing defense right?

Well, here are the Jag's standings:

DEFENSE
Rush Yds/Gm 106.6 (10th)
Pass Yds/Gm 242.9 (26th)
Total Yds/Gm 349.5 (21st)

and here are the Seahawks standings:

DEFENSE
Rush Yds/Gm 110.7 (18th)
Pass Yds/Gm 238.1 (25th)
Total Yds/Gm 348.8 (20th)

If you follow the logic, they should try and expose the Seahawks secondary and pass like crazy as well right?

What does everyone else think?? Was it bull or will they gameplan the same way?
I think that Seattle will still give Gore a lot of respect and will be looking for the run. I am sure that they remember all too well how he has made them look bad. I think that we should line up in the 2 tight set with Alex under center and run play action and go deep. Considering Seattle knows and respect our running game, we should attempt to exploit that. If it does not work, we can always move to the spread.
