I would usually agree, but a game like this should have gone to the Bears. The niners did nothing to win this game other than catch 5 gift wrapped footballs from Jay Cutler. If he hadn't had such a lousy game the niners wouldn't have won. The last few weeks have highlighted some pretty big problems and it seems like Singletary and co. are either unaware or too stubborn to address them.

It wasn't a catch. You gotta maintain possession once you hit the ground He had his feet in but didn't maintain possession .

he did. it was ripped out AFTER he had hit the ground.

someone get the clip!

You really think we would have won if Cutler hadn't thrown it away 5 freaking times? Our defense played well, but you've got to be kidding me if you think the offense "did what it took to win". Against a weak team like the Bears we had to rely on a miracle (gift) turnover in the endzone with seconds left. If that had been caught by a Bear the Bears would have won and EVERYONE on the zone would be complaining. I'm all for being optimistic but you've got to be smoking something if you think there's anything encouraging about the play of our offense (especially the line) the past 3 weeks.

It wasn't a catch because he didn't have two feet in bounds with possession. Not because he didn't maintain possession after the catch.

How can you say that?! They have tried to address the offense by opening up the offense into a more spread formation. They switch players. They have done the opposite of Nolan who would have just stuck with the norm.

But I agree...we need to produce on offense if we want to make the playoffs this season.

Is that what the refs said?! Because I thought he had 2 feet in bounds and he did in fact have possession the whole way through. He caught it. Landed in bounds with both feet and landed on his back with the ball tucked away then rolled over the CB still having possession. Then as he tries to get up the CB pulls the ball out. It just happened so quickly it looks like one motion.

Hell of a catch by Crabs, but his right knee hit the ground before his left foot touched. I may have that backwards, but anyway the call was correct. Onto the original post....did you just ask why the Coach challenge a play that he thought he could have won? Isn't that the entire point of having challenges?

Jesus......

A challenge on the first play of the game? And it wasnt as if Crabs caught a really deep pass which would have taken us all the way down the field. If I am not mistaken, it was only like 35 yards. Was that really necessary?

Then in the end of the 2nd half, was anybody else surprised when we were on defense, and the Bears were backed up near their own 20 yard line? It was 3rd and 8 and I believe there was more than a min remaining, and we didnt call a timeout to try and get the ball back and score some points. I guess Singletary doesnt believe that we can drive down the field and score quickly.

P.S. Really missing Rossum.

I suppose you disagree with calling the timeout on the Bears last drive, right?
Who needs timeouts when we're going 11-5

"How many timeouts do we have left?"

"Three."

"Can we take them all now?"
So you are complaining bc he challenged a play? Hell i thought it was a good challenge bc I thought he caught the ball.

You seem to forget that we had them stoped on 4th down earlier in that drive and a phantom B.S. call for illegal contact gave them a 1st down. If it wasn't for the refs they wouldn't even of had that chance to throw that pass, which u say we were lucky to intercept. But they are lucky the refs decided to take control of the game and give the Bears a 2nd chance! So no we didn't need to rely on a gift turnover, they pressured him into a forced pass and our DB's were in the right spot to make a play. The DB's even said they new he was going to try and get the ball to Olsen before the ball even was snapped!
