I think it's coaching. We need a better line coach big time.

he will be a FA, unless we go to an uncapped year next year then he would be a restricted FA

I agree although Heitmann would look much better if the guards beside him weren't the wost in the NFL.
Chilo-not ready sit him on the bench
Snyde-SUX at every position he plays
Heitmann-good
Snyder-good
Sims-keep him as a back up LT
Wraage-start him at LG and move Baas to RG (Baas natural position is RG)
God why did both Staley and Pashos have to get hurt?

I for one thought he played great at center last year. I think we should resign baas and have the line stick together. I think we just had him at the wrong position all these years. What do you all think?

Hard to really tell b/c one of his main roles in calling protection is something we can't see from watching games on tv. He did a solid job given how fast he had to jump in that spot. He definitely increased his stock by showing his versatility.

I always wondered why they moved him to guard. He was an a great center in college.
I saw we keep him around.

I definetly think it is in the best interest of the niners to sign baas and have baas and heitmann compete for the center spot.

b/c he only played 3/4 of a season at center. The other 3 years he played guard.
