Someone should kick the starter of this thread in the teeth.
What we learned from this game is this:
* The 49ers can win a must win game that is physical.
* Michael Crabtree has amazing hands.
* Even Mark Roman got an interception, he is playing well in his backup roll.
* Lowell Cohen needs to shut his b***h mouth.
* All you haters can suck a dick, we're playoff bound. The cardinals will implode and we'll help them do it when we beat them for a second time.

After 4 games of Alex Smith, it is excruciatingly clear that this offense operates best out of the gun. Smith looks like a different QB, Gore gets more yards, and the receivers seem to get open better.
Raye's idiotic playcalling almost lost us this game and lost us the game vs. Minny. In Crabs, VD, and Gore we have excellent skill position players. Walker, Hill, and Morgan are good second options at TE and WR as well. Why we don't play to this team's strengths, week in and week out, is beyond me. It almost seems like Raye spends all week scripting the first 15 plays, which include lots of different looks, and then doesn't know what to do from there. If this can be rectified, we still have a shot at making some noise this season. If we continue to play conservative for 3 quarters per game, we will only beat the Rams, Lions, and (maybe) the Seahawks the rest of the way.

That we need an O Line and a QB.
Qb is ok just o line
Seriously, can you Smith haters just shut up tonight and not blame him. The offense struggles were not on the QB tonight. The oline was horrible.
He didnt exactly light things up, you know........just because he's not the number one factor in the loss tonight doesnt mean he wasnt a factor at all........
If you can't see that not all the 49ers problems are because of Smith then I'm not sure what the point is of debating anything with you. Smith wasn't the problem tonight.
If you guys really want to pursue an attack on him tonight you are way off base.
Again, he wasnt the number 1 factor............but let me ask you, Rodgers has the worst oline in the NFL, yet he still moves the pocket and puts points on the board. Why is that so ?
Let me answer for you, cause I know you'll use one of the following:
A) cause Rodgers doesnt have Jimmy Raye calling plays
B) cause Rodgers has a better supporting cast
C) cause Rodgers plays on a better field with good grip for cleats
D) cause Rodgers isnt 25 years old
E) cause Rodgers jersey stripes on his sleeve arent bothersome as Smith's are.

I think we learned that at this point, somebody on th offensive side of coaching needs to be fired. Lets start with Oline coach Forester. Shake things up, we cant sit on this one.

1) Nate Davis should compete for the starting QB next year.....Alex Smith just isn't the answer
2) Baas sucks and shouldn't be resigned
3) We can only run out of the spread.
4) Jay Cutler does suck
5) Lawson is our best and most complete OLB
6) Aubrayo MUST be resigned
7) Singletary celebrated like we won a playoff game......there's something wrong with that
8) Our offense as a whole is pathetic. How do you get 5 ints and only 10 points?

we can do a few things well...but for some odd reason we only play what is most conducive to our offense (shotgun spread formations) VERY early in the game then never again.

I'm convinced our defense could be elite if they could get some rest between series instead of having to run right back out there after yet another 3&out!

Fine. Let's bench Smith tonight or out right cut him. There are a good portion of people on this board who hate Smith for whatever reason and will never root for him to do well. That is a fact. The Smith bashing is boarding on irrational.
