I don't think so. If VD has 6-8 more TD, which is conceivable, he gets in. That would bring his total to 12, which would be amongst the tops in the league for receiving TDs. For a TE, thats pretty good. Along with his excellent blocking, he would make it.

Shockey and Shancoe? They are a product of their offense. Dump off guys if you will. People recognize that VD is an actual go to guy threat. There are no APs, Favres, Brees', Berrians, Harvins out here.

We have VD and Gore. And if Sunday is any indication, we have Crabs as well.

With Crabs in the mix a QB who has an arm and the hope of having an offensive line that can protect (do I see a first round pick being used on an OL) VD could be the next Gates or Gonzalez.

Let's be realistic and don't flame me for this but the least amount of Pro Bowls Vernon makes may give us a little more leverage or not forced to pay him a Kings ransom when time to extend his contract. Pro Bowls are always used as a negotiating ploy and valid because it reflects his level of play but with so many other top TE's in the NFC.... most are right.... he might not make it unless there is an injury to others noted or he COULD just tear it up the rest of the season with Alex at QB.

Everybody loves a winner, and Deion's no exception. That's ok, taking nothing away from Daniels, 'cause we weren't able to cover him, Vernon had a great game. He keeps playing like that, he'll get his due...and a trip to the Pro Bowl.
