* Eddy "Jake Moody" Piniero.....
* Jacob "Kyle Williams" Cowing.....
* Kick and punt coverage. Teams start around the 40, 45 or 50 sometimes. Sometimes on the other side of the 50. Our side of the field. Our coverage teams are horrific....

How can your special teams be this bad? It's unbelievable. We can't hit FG's, XP's, drop and fumble punts, can't cover kickoffs or punts well. What do they do well on special teams?

It is very concerning. We aren't winning any playoff games with this unit. Remember the playoff Seahawks game last year? I do and that return was awful to watch.

Yes I don't think we can win in the playoffs with special teams like this. It's 1/3 of the game and we are very bad at it.

and the ST unit was great last year, 2nd in EPA

with no Gifford coverage unit is lost, with no Skyy Moore our punt returns are always an adventure, and eddie is missing PATs left and right

Corliss is the only bright spot on this unit. No pun intended either.

We need to start having some other LEGIT special team guy slots. I think Moore was dropped because they THOUGHT Cowing could contribute more as a receiver. I understand the risk, but a bird in hand (proven special teamer) is worth two in a bush (hoping Cowing is both a receiver and returner).

Watkins returned punts in college. So did Kirk.

It always comes back to Kyle. He does not prioritize special teams. Whether thats practice schedule, or not getting the right players or whatever it is. They keep firing and hiring special teams coaches and it basically changed nothing.

They don't prioritize special teams. Keeping a few slots for standouts on the roster. They just assume you can have scrap heap players and change it every year and it shows. They are consistently bad at it. They get a good return man finally and let him go. Never seem to fix the kicker position. Almost always bad at kick and punt coverage.

That's been a while. Years ago. We have been terrible at kicker for years and years now.

2023 - No Gould
2024 - No Gould
2025 - No Gould
2026 - No Gould

2022 was his last year with us. If that's your example of prioritizing a kicker that's pretty long ago in the NFL. Average career is 3.3 years in the NFL.

So you were against signing Piniero this offseason?

Resigned a top 5 all time kicker in terms of accuracy. How is that not prioritizing it?
