Riley's relationship with Johnson began in 1991 as head coach of the San Antonio Riders of the now-defunct World League of American Football. Johnson was among the Arizona Cardinals' final cuts in 1990 before signing with the Riders. Riley later hired Johnson to serve on his coaching staffs with Oregon State and the Chargers.

come one man singletary had rayes back just like he had chilo's back even though they both have shown they can produce on a consisten basis

Things can change quickly if your job is on the line

that doesnt mean that they didnt see eye to eye though it just means that he got rid of someone so he could save his ass

Publicly Sing has defended Raye this LOOKS like inconsistency and weakness, Sing can't protect his "guy". If Sing had problems with Raye, he should have kept his mouth shut and not given the vote of confidence, repeatedly!

Or, Mike Johnson will just stay on the sideline instead of up in the box and sent the playcall himself.

less HB dives
no more FB dives
stretch the field more
use the "creative" section of the playbook that Jimmy probably lost in the coaches booth...

I think it will be Johnson to Alex. Johnson stays on the sideline and has been calling the plays to Smith all year, i dont think that will change

next step, bring in Vick next year since MJ coached him in Atlanta

We'll see. We know now that Johnson's a guy who will want to throw the ball, so if we still see dive left, dive right, incomplete pass, punt, we'll know it was Sing pulling the strings all along.

Having him in the booth to get a better vantage of the field makes sense.

There's only one true way to really shake things up. And I wonder if Johnson has the b@lls to do it. That's either promote our third stringer to QB or the guy sitting on the practice squad.

Sorry -- but David Carr is just plain shell-shocked after a career-ruining stint in Houston. I'll root on for my Fresno State Bulldogs till the day I die -- but I know that Carr is just another reincarnation of Alexcuse Smith.

I believe that Johnson is a big Nate Davis backer. Someone verify or correct me if I'm wrong.

Kolb is getting all of his money this year and has a low salary next year, they can keep him as backup or use him as trade bait but no way Vick leaves if he continues his good play
