and its Jones on the receiving end of both...its good he is doing well too...a lot of people on this board bashed that signing

i don't think that many people were bashing the signing.

It was just that nobody had any idea who he was.

Quarterback Alex Smith heard cheers from the crowd in the 49ers' afternoon practice, as he looked particularly sharp in the team's 11-on-11 drills.
Smith and wide receiver Brandon Jones hooked up on two beautiful deep passes. Jones went over Allen Rossum to catch the first one. On the second, Smith hit Jones in stride some 40 yards down the field on a flea-flicker to beat the coverage of Nate Clements for a TD.

The offense was a little sharper in the afternoon, as Shaun Hill completed 10 of 11 passes (mostly short throws), while Smith connected on 7 of 8 attempts.

And we have Hill, Morgan, Ziegler, Bruce, Battle, Vernon and drafted Crabtree.
Anyone get to see how Morgan and Coffee looked today? Any info on how either or both practiced today would be greatly appreciated.
From what I've read, the 49ers passing game looks good out there. That's promising.
Singletary held out for a week as a rookie, and he made out OK. We'll just have to wait and see with Crabtree. I would have hoped he'd have told his agent, Parker, to get a deal done by the start of camp, but that was not to be.

I hope the 9ers hold firm and slot Crabtree appropriately for the 10th pick rather than give in to Parker for money as if he were a higher pick. Hang in there, Paraag!

Principle is on the 9ers side on this one.

Parker will hold him out until he feels he gets his money, he will come in late and be so far behind his rookie season will be non productive and a waste. We've all seen it happen with other rookie players in the league and their first year be a wash. Stand by for a protracted holdout. Parker doesn't blink that's why is loathed by owners and players who want more now love him!

well put
We will boo him.

Dont be. Given the current contract negotiations, people are going to be pissed. Cant worship a guy who hasnt done anything to help the team.

Maybe you will be, but most of the first round still isn't signed.

Not just yet. If he misses a lot of time then I'd boo the hell out of him.
