I've watched the Niners since 1984 and I've seen the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. I've stuck with them through every season and I do think we have a great shot at making the playoffs this year. As for the QB competition, all I have to say is let the best man win.

To the ones that think this thread was made to deter people from posting their opinions, that is not the case..

I do have my opinions as well about some of the position battles going on.. It was just frustrating seeing fans of the same team go after each other about one single player they either did or did not prefer.. I know this forum is for everyone to write their opinions, but, sometimes, it just gets old hearing "Noodle Arm" and "Alex Leaf" arguments..

It's actually really entertaining reading people's arguments.. I just thought some people needed a place to write their views of the team as a whole rather than have it hidden by lame nicknames..

I think you are right on. It sounds so good to hear the positive things about our niners. I saw my first game in 1953 when the 9ers beat the Rams 31-30. That made me a fan forever. Sometimes I think that I have more faith in players or coaches because of thing that happened in the past. I wanted Nolan to be the man because I remember what his father did for our team. I want Sing to win because he is such a fan of coach Walsh. But most of all I'm a true 9ers fan through and through forever. I bleed Red & Gold.

Ditto, my 49er brothers! I don't care who plays as long as the result is a win. We could sign Randy Moss, who I dislike more than I can say, and I would root for him to tear it up! I would just hope that he wouldn't break any (more) of Jerry's records.

I am in full agreement with the original post here. I am a fan of the red and gold. the players will change, but the team is what I/we root for!

well said, im with you, ive rooted for certain players like gore and willis to be niners for life, but i am first and foremost a niners fan, and will always be.

THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!!!

I support the 49ers!!!! LIke when people ask me if I would support Shaq over Kobe and I say NO!!! I support who's on the Lakers (or in this case 49ers) regardless. YOU SUPPORT THE TEAM NOT THE PLAYER. IMO.
