You guys think there is a remote chance he catches Barry this year? Could he even plan next season? That would have to be a record for years played by a running back.

Smith played 14 years. This is Gores 13th season i believe.
Not sure if any others played longer at RB.

Proud of former 49ers like Gore and Smith. We may not have won much with them before Harbaugh, but there will always be a special place in my heart for those years. Things still felt pure. Sports wasn't about politics first. We still had our 5-0 SB record. Seeing Gore continue to play reminds me of those days still at Candlestick. Damn, now I'm depressed.
