that was the first thing that crossed my mind when I read that he was going to philly.I personally don't think the up tempo fits him but every year when people doubt him saying he has nothing left in the tank he proves them wrong. so I would not be surprised if he has a great season with the eagles. loved watching gore run and I hope he has a great year
Thanks for all the memories Frank.

I'll always think his best shot at a ring is with the 49ers, but the money and system will be a bonus for his swan song. Chip system will get Frank plenty of touches (with plenty more to go around to the other guys). Chip likes football fanatics, so the culture will fit Frank just fine. It's like a nice retirement home that'll help Frank pad his stats for the HOF. I just wish he'd have gone for that ring with the home team.

I hope he becomes a Florida scout for us when he retires. At least he'll be back in the organization then.

It's a sad day in Niner land for sure. Even if it's the right time to part ways, it's hard to see Frank leave. He was the heart and soul of this team for 10 years. I'm just glad we got to experience some winning seasons and a shot at getting him a ring. I only wish we got him that championship. It will always feel like a void in 49ers history. Should have won it for him.

I'm thinking the cons to Indy would be:
+ They play on turf, right? Maybe rougher on his body
+ He might have a complicated relationship with Pagano, based on their time together at the U.
+ Not the best system fit? It seems like all Indy needs is any RB that's better than Trent Richardson and gives them a rushing attack. At this stage of his career, Gire might be better off being used for all his skills, rather than a mercenary that just plows up the middle so Luck can throw easier.

If there's anything you can take to the bank, its that Gore will be far more heavily involved in the passing game as a receiver with the Iggles.
My 5 year old son got himself dressed this morning and so happens to grab his gore jersey. Kid's got class, but I'm gonna have to break the news to him

Gonna miss you Frank. Wish you the best health and luck in Philly.
Will be strange seeing him in a Eagles uni, kinda like seeing LT in a Jets uni a few years back. Just not right.

Good luck Frank and thanks for your years of service and dedication!
Hate to see Frank play for another team but the 49ers absolutely made the right decision. No way could the 49ers pay him that amount of money.
Farewell Frank. Thanks for all the memories. Wish we got you a ring
Anyone know what the Philly fans are saying about Gore?
So much for we will sign him. Might as well trade Vernon and get some picks

Thank you Gore, wish you stayed, but business as usual...

Hope you do well in Philly. If we face you in the playoffs, I hope you remain healthy with zero yards
I wonder if the Eagles never trade McCoy if Gore would of remained a Niner
