If they win the superbowl, they will tout the niner D's as one o the greatest. Because....
1) 13.5 pts a game
2) Only one rusher allowed to gain 100 yards or TD
3) The amount of takeaways
4) Shutting down 3 prolific offenses-Saints, Packers and Patriots.
5) This all despite one of the worst red zone offenses in NFL history

yes. even though we allowed a 100 yd rusher and a TD, the fewest rushing TD's allowed was 2, and that wasnt with a 16 game schedule. even if we allow 1 vs the Rams (which i doubt), allowing 1 or 2 rushing TD all season is quite a feat. it doesnt sound as good as ZERO, but still. Also, 35(or 36 i dont remember) takeaways(which is #1), #1 scoring D, #1 is rush yds allowed, #1 RZ D, etc. lots of accolades with this D.
i do think the real test is winning the SB tho. They have to play like they're the #1 D, against the best. My only real concern, it its really nitpicky cuz this D is very good at making tackles, has been the few missed tackles; they go for the big hits, shoulder down, but forget to wrap up. this can be coached up tho.

If Willis had been playing the past couple weeks, that would NOT have been an issue. Willis is the best fundamental tackler on the team, and in the league. Need him back

Collinsworth pretty much flat-out said (after tonight's game) that the 49ers might be the only team able to play GB at it's own game, in its own environmental surroundings.
