There are enough talented QBs coming out this year that the Niners should be able to find one. Even if it's in round 2. Guys having a big game or a bad game isn't going to change what the scouts see. Even the greatest QBs in history have a rough game from time to time. Indian's defense is no joke. It may be one of the top 5 in the country. If they had a better offense they might have beaten Yo Yo State yesterday.

So, I waited all week to actually watch the BYU game. I wanted to see for myself. I saw one throw that I really liked but I don't know about you all but I just wasn't wowed. And I WANTED to be wowed. I saw a number of plays where if he were playing against real competition, it would have ended badly for him. And when I watch his highlight films, I see a lot of chucking it up to covered receivers that come down with the catch. It pains me cuz I want to love him.

I actually came away with a bigger impression of their TE Isaac Rex. He looks like a beast to me.

I wouldn't get too caught up with players being a good fit for Shanahan's system. I thought the same with Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs and Calvin Ridley. I just would hate to go through the same disappointment with Zach Wilson, especially if he's on the board and Shanahan passes him up.

This is the kind of guy you try to trade up at all costs to draft. With cap issues we could offer a great deal to get him.They need a stud at qb now if they want a sb. Way too many young studs in the NFL. I'd much rather have an ok D and a great O. He resets his feet and throws a perfect 60 yard pass without stepping into it . Jimmy can't dream of throwing a deep ball like that.
