Or just gonna play thru his knee injury and miss time periodically?

I read up that Lynch (a week or so) said he doesn't think Ford will be needing surgery though it didn't seem like a definite statement by him. Only Ford really knows what he needs. He mentioned he never got real medical attention for it in the past.

He needs to resolve that s**t ASAP

I read some where that he doesn't think he needs surgery. Still trying to find that link - they might have been talking about Kittle.

Well Kittle is another guy who could use it, but mentioned that he doesn't want to go through all the rehab and missing any of camp.

Him and Ford can get some therapy and what not to help whatever's ailing them, but going under the knife isn't what they want right now (I guess)

Yea agreed. As of right now. We lost that trade.

Hell no. Right now Dee got us to the SB and very nearly a SB win with his presence as part of the DLine. KC got a low 2nd round pick. We'll see who they get with that pick but despite Dee missing time it's been well established just how much better our D was with him on the field.

Yep. Absolutely worth the bottom 2nd round pick.

How so, did the 9ers trade them their refs?

lol our pass rush was nearly unstoppable when he was on the field. When he was out our pass rush was significantly worse. If we get rid of Dee Ford our pass rush will drop off.

Bosa had 2.0 sacks in the 6 games Ford was out. He had 11.0 sacks in the 13 games Ford played in.

It's because we lost an unfair called game doesn't mean they got the better trade. Dee Ford was very valuable to our team an will only get better as he recovers from his injuries.

This. He makes the sum greater than the parts in the pass rush specifically, and the defense generally.

Hope he gets proper treatment and heals up well so he can be consistent for us.

lol you guys all need to reread my post lolol...
There's all this talk about how our pass rush took a dive when dee Ford was injured but they don't talk about the teams we played which were the toughest of our schedule..bottom line this dude was unproductive this year. He generated pressure when he was healthy but when his hamstrings started getting sore he couldn't beat a punter off the line

He was valuable for our team but saw limited action and cost us a lot of draft capital and hit the salary cap.

KC did come out on top here imo

When healthy (no hammies, no thigh issues, no knee problems, no whatever), he's worth the cash

However, he had missed too many games and/or wasn't very effective when playing hurt, hence he didn't do what he got paid to do

If we keep him, I hope those injuries go away, he stays on the field often and takes care of business (sack/pressure QB) in big games
