Alright, who were the day 1 winners and losers?

Winners:
Cowboys A+
Giants A
Browns A
Tampa A
Bears A

I thought Cowboys were clear winners...they went into the drafting needing defensive help and boy did they get it. And then they turned 2 5ths into 2 4ths in the process.

Giants and Browns had a ton of capital. And they made it count.

Tampa and Bears let the board fall to them and combined need, talent and ridiculous value.

Losers:
Rams D-
Arizona C-
Seattle C-

49ers
Trade 1: A+
Trade 2: B
Overall: A-

Greenard? Vikings were lookin for a high second rounder.
From today's WZ article it sounds like we might trade #33 for the right package of picks. But how far down can we stomach To drop and still get someone on our board?

Im guessing we don't want to get past 40. If we don't want Boston or a top SS then we can go down to the 50s for a IOL.

So who's still available that would be a great pick? I don't follow the players as closely as some do here

I like Pregnon. He's an older prospect but he could step in and start at LG as a rookie and likely do a pretty good job. He's got some meanness to his game, the type of lineman that lives to put guys on their asses which this team definitely could use more of.

Would be nice to have a more aggressive o line. Ours doesn't seem to punish anyone.

Would be nice to upgrade at C to a more aggressive stud. Idk who in this draft could do it or if someone on our practice squad could

Agree on both points. Overall I'd like bigger linemen that can move, but you only have one day one pick and guys like Trent Williams usually go by the 3rd pick in the first round.

Having said that. I think our current OLine is one of the better ones in the league and there are players currently on the roster that I think can develop like Colton Mckivitz. (Colby, Drake, and Pleasants) Signing Trent to two more years helps our OLine talent a lot. Signing him was equivalent to a first and a second pick in my opinion.

UNBELIEVABLE !!

The 2nd best RB in this class would be like the 5th best RB in other years and they used a 1st RD pick on him. Imagine the crashout if the Niners drafted Price at 30?

Hell there would have been an outrage if the Niners drafted him at 58.

Agree, this draft is weak on certain positions. Who would have thought the QB value in the 2022 draft would be the last pick in the draft. I'm hoping ShanaLynch strikes gold again in the latter half of this draft. Overall, I think ShanaLynch have improved on their drafting since 2017. Not quite at the level of Bill Walsh and John McVay, but getting there.

So many better options than Boston for Kyles offense. Great contested catch and redzone target, won't run away from anyone...ever.
I can't decide if I want EWM or Pregnon! Maybe Pregnon and Bud Clark would be the best.

I could go down another dozen picks for the right trade.
Emmanuel McNeil-Warren has to be the pick. Let's get a bruiser in the secondary to take out JSN, Puka, and Adams.

Please draft Howell, EMW, or AJ Haulcy at any point in this draft.

Wouldn't be disappointed in a SS, but we still need a FS. Unless your flipping Brown/Mustapha later, it just doesnt quite make sense to me.
Having Brown or Mustapha starting again is like having no legit SS. If we can upgrade the position, do it! Screw settling for average to below average.

it's like saying, why get a Tackle, when we have McKivitz? McKivitz might actually be better at his position than Brown and Mustapha lol
