He'll start this year because nobody on that roster is better.
Unless the Niners move back into the draft, I am wrapped with my shadow draft.

Final results to view down the road:
Round 2- Emmanuel McNeil-Warren- S
Round 3- Gennings Dunker- OT/G
Round 3- Kyle Louis- OLB
Round 4- Sam Hecht- C/G
Round 4- Keith Abney- CB
Round 4- Justin Joly- TE
Round 5- Garrett Nussmeier- QB
Round 5- Nicholas Singleton- RB
Round 5- Rayshaun Benny- DT

We will see how this all plays out. Cheers to everyone for a fun couple days.

As of now on the surface there is nothing really excitable about these draft picks. Seems they drafted a good supply of backup players that can be used in rotation if Kyle or Raheem plays them. No grade yet have to wait till the season.

Who in their mock draft had any of these players being drafted?

4.139 DeMonte Capehart, DT1T
5.170 Rene Konga, DT3T

Romello Height is the only one I wasn't surprised by because of his visit and Barrows and Kawakami saying the 49ers really like him.

Did we have another fifth round pick?

Perhaps the message is that Morris likes the possibility of working with Brown and bringing up to grade level. IDK.

Other than Thieneman, there wasn't a "must have Safety in the group. However, we do have three young guys that have tools that offer promise. My hope is that one of them, will turn out to be a decent ball hawk. It is all up to the coaching.
Ephesians is a former safety. They should move him back there.

This draft is turning out pretty well. Mature football players, character guys, speed, blocking. Several have good to outstanding size. Increasing the draft from 6 to 8 players was a good move. Despite the ubiquitous bellyaching about "position value," this draft has shaped up pretty well with guys who will very likely contribute sooner rather than later. Together with the free agency gains and internal competition with existing guys (with hope that the stars recover well), the team is on a more solid footing going into this season. Let's see who they finish off with!

I just don't feel as confident as you do. I want that feeling that you have

I like Halton and Prysock.
Haltons speed at DT I like
Prysocks height and speed at CB I like.
At least we didn't trade Mac for a 6th round pick.

i do like some of the potential in the guys picked in the later rounds. With some coaching and experience they could help us and become solid pros.
