Because he was rated highly on the internets ESPN etc.
But EMW is not a free safety, not good in pass coverage, so not too valuable to 49ers

Maybe because our safteys suck outside of Mustapha
But EMW wouldnt solve that. We need a free safety.
I agree but I'd rather have EMW out there rather than Brown.I'd shift Mustapha to FS

Funny traded with Jets, they take Cooper
traded with browns they take EMW.
id rather have both those guys. 😂
Niners keep thinking they're smarter. They're not. They needed top level guys but they're aiming for average players since they keep trading back.

As sailors say, if you can't tie a knot, tie a lot.
If you can't tie a knot, how does someone tie a knot?

For a team that needs to get better, 1 pick in the first 69(heh) picks seems counter productive. I get that we get a little more capital but finding players this late in the draft, especially a weak draft, is not an ideal way to take a step forward. I dunno, maybe it's lose lose but there's gotta be some talent in the lower rounds.

this is a historically bad draft
the top talent ended after 15 or so picks
there is no clear 2nd then 3rd tier of talent
everything up to 100 ish is in the same tier
it was talked about repeatedly pre draft
