Dae'Quan Wright-TE-Ole Miss

Another decent weapon as a receiver he's also improved considerably as a blocker from where he was at Virginia Tech. Constantly playing in-line and being handed some tough blocking assignments, he prevailed time and again. Had some nice reps against Mykel Williams in 2024 too. He was greatly underutilized in the Ole Miss offense and I can see him winding up being a much better NFL player than college player as a result of it. Great size for the position, well built, strong at the point of the catch, hands can be a hit or miss at times as he'll make some spectacular catches and then drop some routine ones but he did make some big plays when Ole Miss needed it most in the playoffs.

Despite his production and all the success he's had, Wright seems to be quite overlooked, good value pick in the later rounds of the draft.

This guy has become my favorite TE recently. I'm all for investing a high pick on TE but I'm not crazy about the top ranked guys. I don't hate them but I don't see a lot of can't miss receiving+blocking prospects high in the ranks. If we can get Wright on day 3 that seems like great move.

I'm no expert, and this is pretty basic analysis… but he's always there in the 6th when I do mock draft simulators. Except when I use the PFF rankings, then he's a few rounds higher.

He's been my go to when making PFF mocks if I can't get Sadiq or Roush early. Definitely feels like a kid who can make a big jump in the pros.
