If we take a FB project in the 3rd I'll be leading the fire Kyle and Lynch mob. Cam is a RB not a FB

From what I have seen I agree. Why do folks think he can and would want to be a FB?

What's wrong with thinking he could play FB? That isn't a bad thing; it adds value to a team, especially ours. But to be clear; he would be "drafted" to be a RB for sure

It's not a knock on him thinking he can play FB it's a knock on the idea of taking a FB in the 3rd round. We've taken worst in the 3rd round though

truth. I mean I guess folks are thinking him and CMC in the backfield at the same time. He can block, but also get the ball etc.

Maybe, but imo Kyle will want a natural FB.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I see Cam as dominant in the NCAA but a late round prospect in the NFL. The lack of NFL-level burst or speed is going to reduce his value in the NFL + his injury concerns. Change of pace type back.

Really depends on the team. If a team drafts him to be Gibbs, they'll be disappointed.

Lots of backs have shown plenty of speed despite running mid 4.5s (Kamara). Frank Gore ran a 4.58 and was never a burner.

Kyren Williams ran a 4.65 40 and went in the 5th. James Conner ran a 4.65 and went in the 3rd.

I give Skat a 4th round grade. I think his draft spot is late 3rd-5th.

I think Skat as a pass catcher is pretty unique. He might be the bast pass catching RB in the draft (for example he beat Texas safety deep on a pass route).

I'm not one that cares much about 40 time for RBs. It's more of the fact that the NFL is going to be faster and more physical, which is going to expose Cam at the next level.

Perfect change of pace day 3 pick - sure. But 2nd-3rd round projection seems like a massive reach in my mind.
If him and Jeanty both run at the combine don't be surprised if their jumps and runs are very similar, so if he's going to get exposed that last game Jeanty played in might show the same for him
Great contact balance and receiving skills out of the backfield. However, his foot speed looks a little lacking, and I worry about his ability to break away at the next level, but he has skills. He runs tough which is probably why everyone assumes he can transition to full back. I am kind of hoping he runs an average 40 and drops to us day 3.

The problem with that though, is that there really aren't any/many "natural" FB's anymore. With the spread offense being so prevelent in college football, you just don't see many actual FB's anymore. Even Juice himself was a college TE that the Ravens converted to FB. I don't know if a guy like Skaattebo, who is used to getting so many touches, would appreciate being stuck in a FB role. This is why I REALLY wanted us to grab Hunter Luepke last year. He could have slotted on the team as a 3rd TE, but also acted as back up FB and short yardage HB - while being groomed to take over as FB full time.
Is he Jake's brother from another mother?

This guy is going to be the perfect QB for tush push situations. Will allow the team that takes him to run it as often as the eagles.

This is knock on him and makes me borderline not want him. Not even joking
Hard pass. Too much of a drama queen.

Drama? lol

I probably follow the team and players more than anyone here, I have no clue what you're talking about

He's referring to the "drama" of him individually willing his team to nearly the biggest upset of the CFB postseason and solidifying himself as a great RB prospect. 'Twas dramatic

I'd honestly love a triple threat fullback- lead blocker, can catch, and run. Juice is 2 out of 3, and we barely scratched the surface ob the blocking ability. A creative playcaller + the right player can really make it a glimmer position. What I am asking for is a unicorn in this day and age, but if a player could do it, I'd love to see it.

This would be a huge win if they came away in this draft with Skattebo!!! Offensive weapon indeed!!!

And for Kyle to not use him while he's running CMC to the ground.
