But with the first pick, I'm praying its defense. 49ers need to restock there the most. The defense was mostly the reason (along with special teams) why the 9ers had a crap season. Time to go all out, let's get some defensive playmakers that can change the momentum of a game.

The Super Bowl is back in the Bay, this season is lining up to be a perfect season for the 9ers. Cap space, 11 picks in the draft, last place schedule, Saleh is back and players are getting healthy. LFG!!!!

I agree 100% BUT:

This years DLine prospects are like 30 deep. We will probably find a quality starrer in rounds 3 or even 4. But If Trent Williams misses time again we are in trouble.
TW missed a lot of time last season and it wasn't truly a disaster.

No one can replace him and no other team has one like him. but the games are still played. It's not the end of the world

rational thinking, Both Tackles played well. it was Center that screwed everything up

49ers have four 4th round picks, I think they can find a quality back up Tackle there. I just want the first four picks in the top 100 to be defense. Sure it's probably not gonna go that way but I feel there's a lot of good defense to get in the first three rounds.

I don't care about a swing tackle. I want us to find a guy who can be a starter at LT.

Aside from QB, LT is the hardest position to fill in football.

Very few teams have an elite starting LT.
I just want an impact player at 11. Hitting on a young star at 11 needs to happen.
If Warren is the pick, I'm very confident he will be a high level player and huge long term building block to grow with Brock.
Trenches is my priority pending who's there. But with the depth of dline in this draft….if Graham doesn't fall I'd rather grab Warren over the next tier of DT.

Drafting a TE at 11 is a fail imo. Dude isn't Bowers and you gotta be an elite level pass catcher to justify that type of draft capital at TE…especially if you play on paying kittle.

Fingers crossed someone else takes him before he gets to us and drops someone else.

We have a roster full of backup tackles. We need at least an above average starter

No we don't they're set to become free agents. Also there will be some good back ups in free agency. This is not the time to select a Tackle or offensive player in the 1st round.

Warren was wide open on that play, but unfortunately Brendel and McKivitz got obliterated on the snap and Purdy had no time to locate him....

Is this Shanny's third/fourth Super Bowl loss?

is there a rule when running 21 that someone has to line up at FB every time and has to block like a FB everytime?

There are a lot of runs where we don't have a true FB, mainly Deebo runs and we have WR/RB as lead blockers. We would benefit with these with TW with blocking and as a pass catcher. He can be in any formation for us with any traditional 21,11, 12 personnel. We can disguise any of those personnel groupings from presnap to snap

you say you never said he wouldn't help us but you keep posting how he won't. He's not my guy.. but he's a lot better than you think he is

Snaps aren't some free for all thing. Again if we lose Hardgrave and his snaps are available that doesn't mean you're replacing "his snaps" with someone like Mike green.

21 personnel is two RBs a TE and 2 WRs. You can't line everyone up on the LOS. So yes he would lineup in the backfield in those situations.

explain how you disguise personnel groupings?

Im saying it's a waste of a pick if we want a player that's gonna be on the field a lot and actually catching footballs and making plays. UNLESS they run more 12 and in that case a WR in on the bench.

I don't think he's a bad player at all. I do think a lot of his production was schemed up to get him the ball. Rather than him being some great route runner. That's just my two cents.

would it be the worst pick in the world? No. Does it make sense? Not really, which is my point.
Let just say everyone is healthy and we don't have Juice on the roster :

presnap 21 with TW at FB, we can easily motion that to 12 with TW moving to TE2 or 11 with TW lining up at XYZ.. we can do all that in reverse also

With your snap count info, looks like we've been doing that

Don't worry, the draft comes once a year like me. 49ers can get a good one next year or they can get one via free agency.

Have a feeling they are looking at one of Tre Harris, Savion Williams, or Jayden Higgens in rounds 2 and 3 as we met with all three. And Kyle may not be able to resist his 3rd round running back at #75 or #99 in Tuten the RB that ran a 4.32 at the combine

I'd prefer defense as well first four picks too.

Grant
Umanmielen
Alexander
Caldwell

That fixes the entire DL in four picks and at 112 Belton / Trapilo OT or the top C Jared Wilson could be there to address the OL

Follow it up with Kendra and Demetrius Knight at 138 and 139 and we are cookin

That's assuming no trade backs to get an extra 4th at minimum where you grab the S Bowman or CB Parrish.

But it's probably going to be more like

Membou
Tre Harris / Savion Williams
Tuten
DL
Bowman / Malachi Moore S
DL
LB
C

And gasp if Omarion Hampton is there at 43 might as well auto flip us grabbing Hampton there and Savion Williams or Jayden Higgens at 75

🤣 well sounds like they have their Juice replacement and it sure as s**t didn't cost them a top 11 pick.

they ran even less 12P this yr than in the past.
