Nah. We're still a few starters away from ensuring we won't be picking top 15 next year and never know with injuries and what not.

I like Carter but he's still unproven and him dealing with a foot injury I'm not risking next year's first.

Boy that's a pretty temping trade. Giant fans would have a meltdown if that's all they got.

I like carter a lot, he's more will Anderson jr (still damn good) but he's not a Myles Garrett or even Bosa imo

Yeah I think if we didn't just shed so much depth from the team I'd be for it but we need all the picks we can get right now. Value wise it would be a good trade but like you said Carter isn't on that level IMO. Plus with the emphasis we're putting on stopping the run not sure he's a great fit for that. Would love to have him but not at the cost of that future 1st.

This is exactly where I'm at. I like the prospect overall. I just think in most drafts he falls in the Parsons area 10-15 type range. This draft lacking blue chip prospects has elevated him much higher on the board. So many people are looking for that next Parsons now. If he was a Bosa/Garrett type of prospect guy you make that trade in a heartbeat. Us lacking real depth now, I think our best course of action is going the other direction. Accumulating as many picks as possible the next couple of years and filling this roster out.

I think that's baked into the trade offer though. Any other yr you're giving up way more than a future 1st and a comp 3rd

Look how much it cost to get up from #12 to #3, there's no way this happens. To humour it, you absolutely make the trade. Carter may not be Garrett or Bosa, but he's a great compliment to either. Would be thrilled.

lol. I've heard rumblings he can play C, is this true? If so he becomes even more enticing in 2/3

That was for a QB in a much different draft class. It's not gonna happen BUT don't expect the same trade value from past drafts to be applied to this draft overall.

carter for sure is a good prospect. He's getting a little too hyped up for my liking because this class overall is lacking at the top. Hunter and Jeanty are my only real blue chip guys in this draft class.

100 percent you would. I'm just saying with the state of our roster I think replenishing depth and potentially some really solid starters on cheaper deals is more important than swinging for Carter. If this was last year's roster (more depth) with this year's draft, I like the move. With the state of our roster now, I don't like giving up the 1 next year.

Yeah I would be down to do this, I also wouldn't be upset if they didn't.

I disagree, there are only 2, maybe 3 blue chip prospects, and 1 maybe 2 QB's at a stretch. Whilst they are on the board, there won't be a discount.
It's all coming together
