Elite athlete. Very fluid can play outside/inside but IMO could be an elite slot DB. I don't know about him in the slot. Dude is closer to 5'7" than 5'9". Isn't a strong tackler. Lets college receivers block him. He's got dog in him and I normally don't care about size but 5'7" is pushing it.

Edit I would take him on the outside though.

Yeah 5'7" is pretty tinny. Combine will clear that up. You see any of Kei'Trel Clark out of Louisville? I'm a fan on day 3.

Tykee Smith is the guy I have circled as my Nickel guy. I've watched Clark Vs BC and he had a few good reps and some really bad reps. He's got potential but he's gotta get stronger at the top of the route.

I initially was in on Tomlinson but have since soured on him for the same reasons mentioned here.

Yea I don't really trust projections this early on. Last year for instance some of the guys I wanted like Derion Kendrick who went much later was projected a 2nd rounder and my guy Jack Jones was projected to be a UDFA

Loved Jack Jones! His off field stuff probably played a part of it

Hard to say with limited film of safeties. People comparing him to Huf would give me pause as you don't want to have 2 safeties who take the bait. Both are playmakers and I'm not trying to say anything negative about either guy but typically if a safety is making plays he's abandoning his responsibilities.

When I watch his tape, his size pops out. He is feisty, but a little too physical at the catch point because instead of playing the ball, he has to play the man. A lot of his highlights look like borderline pass interference. He has no other option. You used to keep a guy like this to cover slot receivers, but slot receivers are getting bigger. I cringe at the though of seeing him covering someone like DK Metcalf or DeAndre Hopkins. I just see all of his weaknesses becoming a compound liability once he gets in the NFL where everyone is bigger and stronger. If he last name wasn't Tomlinson, he'd already be scheduled to be a day 3 pick imo
