Chad Muma-LB-Wyoming

One of my favorite prospects for this upcoming draft class, Muma is a converted safety that loves to hit and has outstanding instincts in coverage. Awareness and ability to diagnose are pretty much off the charts, even at a lower level of competition, coming out of the same college as Josh Allen. He excels against the run or pass and is consistent in his tackling. Watching him play, I get some serious Fred Warner vibes in how quick he is to react and find the football as well as his skills in coverage. He's not a superb athlete but he has a natural nose for the ball, rarely being out of position or missing tackles. He was a team captain for both years that he started and was one of the most respected players in the program and a leader on and off the field. He's looking to go anywhere from the late 2nd to the mid 4th rounds. He's not a huge need but would provide serious linebacker depth and be a potential top level NFL starter down the road. Definitely not a need, but I do think we need to get someone else in the room the prepare for the loss of either Azeez or Greenlaw. I wouldn't expect earlier than a 5th rounder on a linebacker. I don't expect us to have Azeez, Greenlaw, and Warner past the 2022 season. Time really flies. Seems like yesterday we were hoping that Cardinals would pass on Bosa and now we are at the point of extensions for the 2019 class. Great draft class.
