I'm surprised that no one has started a thread on this prospect: Position: Linebacker School: LSU Current Year: Redshirt Senior Height: 6'2 7/8″ Weight: 233 pounds Wingspan: 79 1/2″ Arm: 32 3/4″ Hand: 8 3/4″ Size, speed prospect who can handle coverage responsibilities (9 career INT), cover ground sideline to sideline in the run game and be a effective blitzer. Proven he can star at the FCS and FBS levels. Niners could use another LB to play SLB situationally and backup Fred and Dre when necessary. He could be a day 2 pickup for the Niners as a valuable addition to the already strong LB corps.

Mentioned him in the 2021 linebackers thread. Definitely a fan of his. Proven winner coming from NDST before he transferred, but his skillset definitely transitioned well in the much tougher SEC.

Doubt he'd be available with our 4th rd pick but if so I'm all about taking him then, I don't think the niners go LB until 4th rd or later.

He's a great prospect, I just think there's not a bunch of action revolving around him on this website because we are set at linebacker in terms of starters, and strong side backer doesn't get enough snaps to be worthy of a draft selection that is likely needed for a player of this caliber

Ironically, I see Surratt with Warner potential.

Apparently, Surratt was one of the "losers" of the weigh in yesterday by being 1 1/2" shorter than his listed height. Hate this part of the Underwear Olympics. That said, if the Niners had a shot of either one of these guys in the third round, I would take them. Kind of splitting hairs as to which one would be better if both were available.
