Ruggs supporters don't want to hear that...but after 3 drafts and no WR's in the 1st rd, why would our braintrust change now. Lynch & Coach both know they need picks in rds 2-4. That's where they've found a lot of good players in past drafts and this is one of the deepest. WRT Bosa vs Williams, I was on the Quinnen bandwagon, but as you say, trust in the process. JL/KS have taken this once pitiful team to the SB in just 3 seasons. Couldn't ask for more in any rookie than Bosa gave us in 2019.
Didn't they meet with Ruggs even before we traded Buck for the 13th pick? No chance Ruggs would be there at 31. They must like him.
I know one of the 1st round picks will be traded. the 13th overall will land us more picks. we aren't just going to give it away though. someone has to want something bad enough to come on up.
I think the Niners have a handful of guys they like at 13. if they are gone then they try to trade back. But those guys are probably the top OT"s, maybe okudah, and maybe Lamb and Ruggs. That's my best guess
To add to your point though. this year reminds me of 2018 when we all had our eyes fixated on pass rushers. Bradley chubb was not going to fall to us so most of the zone loved Harold Laundry (fell to 41). Then another group, myself included liked Minkah vs Derwin James (I was a james guy). Most were shocked when we drafted Mike Mcglinchey.
The pick worked out but those other guys look really good as well.
I'm hoping for wr help. Everyone says we are a run first team but i also know what Shanny did in Atlanta. I think we could also be an offense that just dominates with the run or pass.
I would not be surprised though if the pick is a cb or Oline and catches the fans off guard.
