No one is going to trade for Kwon Alexander and we can't cut him this year without taking a $14.5 million dead cap hit. He has a ridiculous contract for a linebacker who has missed games due to injury in 4 of the past 5 seasons.

We're stuck with him on the roster this year and then we'll probably take the $10.4 million cap hit to get rid of him in the offseason. We'll need to replace him at some point but we can do that in free agency or with a mid-late round pick next offseason (off-ball linebacker isn't a premium position).

I can't see us picking Kenneth Murray when we have so many other needs on our roster.

Kwon hasn't even been here a year and you already want to get rid of him? I guess him and Ford are in the same boat.

No thx. What would be the point using your top draft capital in swapping out your linebackers? We need to use it to add to the roster, not merely swap players.

Yeah, Ford is gone too. Bad free agent signings.

Are you serious? Despite the injuries Ford transformed the D and when we were without him we were nowhere near as good. Alexander is an excellent player. You don't like the cost? Sorry but talking about "getting rid of him" is just ridiculous. These are two of the best players on our D.
We can't get rid of Ford!! He is a valuable player and we just lost Buckner no way would I want them to trade Ford. We need to keep our DLine the strength of the team, but I wouldn't mind an edge rusher in day 2 to be part of the rotation.
