With the NHL now delaying their draft and NFL teams complaining about being limited in their evaluation process, is it time to finally delay the draft? Why/why not and if so, how much long of a delay do you believe is needed in consideration of the current COVID-19 outbreak?

As much as I don't want them to, they should. Can't conduct physicals, in person interviews and some GMs in CA, NY etc won't even be allowed into their team facilities/war room for the draft while others will. I have no idea how long, but this isn't going to magically disappear in a month. I'd be surprised if they even have a season this year tbh

Phoenix...just get a Lindy's Draft Guide and a six pack of beer. You, MD, and OTC could sit on the porch and still have a better draft than Baalke.

Technology exists so multibillion companies don't need to sit in a room together to make decisions. The same is true for NFL teams. It sucks that they can't do as much with prospects as in most years, but the disadvantage should be mostly equal among all teams.

Why postpone it? Just do it differently. No big live event with tons of people.

If delaying the draft will benefit the team it should be delayed. If not it should proceed as scheduled

I'm holding out hope that by draft time, things are back to normal. But to be fair to teams, if things are getting back to normal at that time, they aren't able to properly do their due diligence.

They will likely delay it and do it without fans.

No need for event / building, can be done if they planned ahead of time... do it from the confines of their (players / staffs) homes
That's asking for a lot with cameras / technology / setting up things...f**k the NFL

I think they need to have a draft next month...these young men have worked their butts off to get to that point in their lives. You don't need thousands of fans booing Goodell or cheering for their favorite player. Sure, the glitz & glamour will be missing, but they'll adjust and still be thankful to get drafted. Teams will use their combine data, interviews, etc. in lieu of in-person presence 'til it's safe to do so. Teams also need to know who they'll have as competition on their rosters as they plan for the 2020 season, whenever it starts.
