I like this kid. He's not quite Minkah, but he's pretty versatile. He can play FS, SS, dime backer, has some pretty good instincts, good in zone etc. His style of play fits in well with this team IMO Looks like we might be drafting later than we all thought before the season started, so I'm kinda starting to focus on later 1st rd protects. I think he's good enough to give us some flexibility in the draft, but I don't think he's so good that we'd pass on a guy like McKinney if he's the BPA when we're on the clock.

I could be wrong but I didn't see him not wrapping up.

He took many bad angles and had some mental lapses in coverage but I think it's all correctable. The great thing about him is if he catches it with room he could go the distance.

If a trade down does happen a few guys I would be very happy about in the 2nd:

Xavier McKinney
Jalen Reagor
Michael Pittman
Grant Delpit
Jermey Chinn
Ashtyn Davis

Hopefully 9ers come away with one of these guys!!!

And hopefully McKinney isn't too injured after pulling up in that 40.

I would be down for some Chinn in our secondary
He is a beast but Ashtyn would be fine as well

Yah, pretty much hoping for a Safety or WR in the 2nd pending a trade down. My sleeper pick (sorry to high jack the thread") but, James Lynch DT from Baylor, if he there in the 2nd round, man that would be hard NOT to pull the trigger on him. But getting back to McKinney, I think he and Reagor are 1a and 1b, it's all a matter of who's there and who isn't for me.
