Remember Marcus Martin, David Baas, Chilo Rachel, Justin Smiley, Joshua Garnett...even Iupati, who was a good run blocker, was brutal in pass protection.

It's like this franchise is cursed at drafting guards.

McCloughan's second pick as full GM was Chilo Rachal. This team has had issues drafting interior OL going back decades.

Yeah I think I see the issue though. Too much PAC 12 not enough Wisconsin
No, dont agree. The problem for the last decade or more is that we very rarely draft interior O linemen. Baalke didnt seem to want them. I dont know about Lynch.

Next draft will show us clearer.

Baas was Big 10 and Smiley SEC.
But yeah I'm always wary of 2nd tier pac 10/12 talent.

Edit never mind forgot Iupati was in the list. Baas was this second best
