Been watching heavy tape on JJ and see his comp as Mo Sanu. Not a guy who gets a ton of separation, but wins contested catches (best in NCAA this year according to PFF) will move the chains and is an excellent red zone target.
There is a lot to like with JJ. Definitely a number two receiver at the next level but someone who is going to help a team

I agree with this. His attractiveness to the 9ers really rests on how they view Pettis. If they are being optimistic maybe they see Pettis as a #1 and JJ as the possession WR.
But I think I'd rather see Pettis be a #2 with big play ability along side a more physical and dynamic #1 like N'Keal Harry. That would, hopefully, be a better and bigger version of Garçon and Goodwin.

A 4.48 time today is really, really good. I thought he would post in the high 4.5s to low 4.6s. Tells you he is ready, taking the process seriously. Second round target for many teams who want a great red zone target. I have him graded much higher than many others. He is WR5 on my board.

Man it's so hard to get those 40 times on pro-days some other people are saying it was 4.5s...regardless I do like him, I see him more as a day 3 guy.

Bryce Love any other year except this one. we have 3 starting RB's, a 1 that could start and is only one with ST value. We're loaded, I don't see Love beating out any of the guys we have, and if he lands on our practice squad, he will be scooped up pronto! too many rb's

I'd like to have this guy if it meant he would push a guy like Bourne off the roster. We got Jordan Mathews, (not OBJ), so we still need a true #1 starting caliber WR in the draft. This guy is from my school (I'm alumni), but he'd be a backup/role player on our team and we DONT need that type of guy- We need an explosive starter that can get past the Rams, Cards, and Hawks CB's !!

I agree, a 4th or 5th guy in WR rotation. He's a guy who could replace Kendrick Bourne, but that's about it.

I'll be shocked if Matthews actually makes the final roster.

he's in the 45-65 range IMO and I think he'd probably be our second best WR after Pettis in a year or so.
