They'd really shine down on us if we could win a game or two and still wind up with Bosa either due to other teams finding wins or making dumbass draft decisions.
So today its "GO LIONS AND GO FALCONS (oh well)".
As i consider all teams with 5 or more Wins to pick AFTER the 49ers it would definitely get the lions out of the equation.

This would be the best scenario to me. I need for the Raiders and Giants to get to 4 wins. I know it's a minor miracle I'm hoping for.
We are sitting on the #1 pick which does not surprise me at all. This team is so lost.
The Rams will tank the final game, so we don't end up with Bosa!

Bosa is injured and never really put up #'s as big as the hype. So is he really worth the #1 pick? He seems like a typical 49ers pick. Over drafted and possibly overrated. We will see. He may be that good too. But you just don't have proof right now. He has proven to be injured and never put up huge numbers comparable to the hype IMO. He might be slightly over valued and teams desperate for a pass rush will line up to pick him. But has he really proven he is worth that with consistent huge numbers and healthy seasons? Because I don't think he has at all.

Huge college numbers, eh? Then let's go get Scooby Wright III and Johnny Manziel, I hear they might be available!

What has he done to indicate #1 pick when you look at....?

~ Production on the field.

~ Staying healthy.

Other than his last name and the hype can you think of a reason he is the #1 pick?

Actually, I should have said the #1 pick. I don't watch enough college ball to be a judge on the best pick. That's one of the reasons I read come in here to the zone, for the college knowledge. Some posters have very good insight. It seems Bosa is not your choice and interesting, but not surprising, you called him a 'typical 49er pick'. Either way, 50% of the zone will want him and the other 50% won't.
Whoever we pick within 5 minutes some numbskull is going to post that he is a bust.

This is very true. I would think that even the doubters would have to say this will be a pretty big upgrade on our team no matter who we pick at edge rusher
Still #1
I worry too that Bosa may be over hyped because of his brother and the fact that he comes out of Ohio State. They produce a lot of NFL guys but they have had some major busts too. Maybe Bosa is for real but the Niners really need to do their homework here since they can't afford another miss. The 2017 draft is now looking like a real bust so we need this one. If it wasn't for a couple free agent signings (Breida, Mostert, Sherman) and maybe Mckinnon things would look even worse. And of coarse we got Jimmy. The 2018 draft was better so hopefully we improve again. Wish we had more picks so we could move up or down if the opportunity comes along.
Bosa, here we come! Finally, this may be the year that we get our pass rusher. It feels like it has been decades since we've had a legit stud. Lol
For those of you keeping track.
The 49ers don't really have any winnable games left on their schedule.
The Raiders have the Bengals on 12/16.
The Cardinals have the Lions on 12/9 and the Falcons on 12/16.
