🧐🤔 Defense?
[ Edited by Wu-5Rings on Oct 20, 2018 at 4:36 PM ]

This is what happened when that prolific offense met Michigan defense... 94 total yards. 15 yards rushing....

So what does that make Michigan defense? 🧐🤔

What's good Wu.

Don't know if you already covered him but what are your thoughts on Peoples-Jones?

I really like the kid although I've never seen him play. I remember him from the"All or Nothing" series and remember thinking that he would be special.

Wu say what?

Can we draft their whole secondary please?

DPJ is becoming something special while Tarik Black our #1 receiver has been gone.

He returns punts, big body and has the speed.. He is maturing as we speak and stepped up big for us while Tarik Black has been gone.

Dude is a baller. He is sophomore.

I haven't seen a stingy defense like this in a while. If they come with this energy every game... There's not a Offense in the country that will be able stop them.

This defense is for real..

"32nd, average of 212.75 yards-per-game. Karan Higdon is 7th nationally, averaging 118.71 yards-per-game.

Defense

Michigan absolutely dominated MSU, holding the Spartans to just 94 total yards — 15 yards rushing and 79 yards passing.

Here's where the Wolverines stand nationally.

TOTAL DEFENSE:

1st, average 220 yards-per-game allowed.

Michigan is 11th in third down conversion rate allowed, allowing teams to convert at 28.7% (MSU converted on zero third down attempts) and is 96th on fourth downs, allowing 61.54% of conversion attempts.

Michigan is 10th nationally with 61 tackles for loss and 10th in sacks with 24 on the season.

SCORING DEFENSE:

6th, average 14.4 points-per-game allowed.

Michigan is 120th, allowing teams to score 93.33% of the time in the red zone.

PASSING DEFENSE:

1st, average 122.9 yards-per-game allowed.

Michigan is 1st nationally, allowing 35 passing plays over 10 yards.

RUSHING DEFENSE:

7th, average 97.3 yards-per-game allowed.

Michigan is 29th nationally, allowing 27 rushing plays of 10 yards or more."

This defense is playing lights out..

Clemson's offense would be fine against Michigan's defense. Not saying they would light it up, but now that Trevor Lawrence has taken over at QB, it would be the first time Michigan would have to face a legit passing attack combined with a monster run game led by Travis Etienne.

Now flip the script...Clemson's defense would dominate Michigan's offense. You're not going to run the ball on Clemson, and I still haven't seen anything out of Patterson to make me fear their passing game. Clemson would lock them down.

Clemson also makes a point to play as many players as possible, or their stats would be even better than they are on both sides of the ball. As it stands even with the QB controversy to start the season, Clemson is #3 in total defense and #8 in total offense. Michigan is 51st in total offense.

When you look at the games yesterday, keep in mind that as Michigan St is the 79th total offense in the nation, NCST is the 21st total offense with a guy under center who might be the second or third QB taken. Clemson dominated them 41-7 and didn't allow a score until their backups were getting playing time. They played 85 kids yesterday during the beatdown.
Lol who has Clemson played compared to Michigan defense????

I mean Michigan State offense was prolific last week when they beat Penn State??

Who has Clemson exactly played??? SEC won't play out of their safe zone in September..

Michigan traveled to Indiana against ND week one held them to 3 points in the second half and lost by 7..

Without our safety... This defense been in battles... While Clemson and Alabama playing pee wee squads...

Michigan played ND, Mich State, Wisconsin all ranked teams... Michigan has the toughest schedule in the nation.

Facing 5 top 20 teams on their schedule... Alabama and Clemson have played no one yet..

Michigan State beat Penn State last week... Look at Clemson's and Alabama's schedule compared to Michigan's..

It's not even a debate. It's actually embarrassing Saban stays in his safe zone in September while Harbaugh goes any where and every where.

SEC has played No one. This defense is the truth.
